Find out more about the presenting companies below:
Saturn Metals (ASX: STN, market cap: $254.5m)
Presenter: Ian Bamborough, Managing Director
Saturn Metals is advancing the 2.83Moz Apollo Hill Gold Project in Western Australia, one of Australia’s largest undeveloped single open pit gold resources, towards development, with a Definitive Feasibility Study due later this year. A recently completed Pre-Feasibility Study outlined a 14-year open pit heap leach operation producing an average of 106,000oz of gold per annum. Significant exploration upside remains, with the mineralisation open in several directions and major resource growth drilling programs continuing.
Trek Metals (ASX: TKM, market cap: $105.6m)
Presenter: Derek Marshall, Chief Executive Officer
Trek Metals is emerging as one of the ASX’s most closely watched exploration stories following the discovery of high-grade manganese mineralisation at its Kuro Prospect within the Christmas Creek Project in Western Australia’s Kimberley region. Initial drilling has intersected multiple zones of visual manganese beneath extensive high-grade surface mineralisation, with ongoing drilling, pending assays and expanding exploration activity providing a strong pipeline of near-term news flow and discovery catalysts.
Lac Gold (ASX: LAC, market cap: $73m)
Presenter: Andrew Stocks, Managing Director
ASX newcomer Lac Gold has wasted no time in firing up the drill rigs and generating strong assays at its Rouyn Gold Project in Canada. Located in the tier-one jurisdiction of Quebec, Rouyn already has a resource of 1.66Moz and has set inventory growth as one of its key goals. Recent results are consistent with achieving this objective, defining more high-grade shoots within broad mineralised envelopes. Drilling is ongoing with a steady flow of assays expected.
AusQuest (ASX: AQD, market cap: $72.2m)
Presenter: Graeme Drew, Managing Director
AusQuest (ASX: AQD) is emerging as one of the ASX’s most compelling copper exploration stories after making a significant porphyry copper-gold discovery at its Cangallo Project in Peru. Drilling has delivered multiple large copper intercepts over a strike extent of 2.5km and to a depth of over 400m, demonstrating impressive scale potential. Backed by a long-standing strategic alliance with South32 across its Australian exploration portfolio and with drilling continuing in Peru, AusQuest offers investors multiple near-term catalysts in a strengthening global copper market.
Australian Vanadium (ASX: AVL, market cap: $56m)
Presenter: Graham Arvidson, Chief Executive Officer
Australian Vanadium (AVL) and its partners are bidding for the right to build a 50MW battery in Kalgoorlie. Success in this process could open the door to AVL building similar, though probably much bigger, vanadium flow batteries in other remote parts of WA. AVL’s Kalgoorlie submission is being underpinned by its vertically integrated vanadium value chain in WA, including plans to develop a vanadium mine and establish midstream electrolyte manufacturing.
CZR Resources (ASX: CZR, market cap: $49m)
Presenter: Milan Jerkovic, Acting Chief Executive Officer
CZR has just unveiled plans to merge with Zuleika Gold, creating a company with a strong balance sheet and cash reserves. This gives the combined group the flexibility to fund existing projects and pursue new opportunities while also benefiting from a reduction in corporate costs. All the merged group’s projects are strategically located in WA, delivering a step-change in the growth trajectory of CZR.
Killi Resources (ASX: KLI, market cap: $49m)
Presenter: Brett Smith, Interim CEO
Killi Resources has just acquired the Lodestone iron ore project in WA’s Mid-West and is already preparing for its first drilling program. Drilling is planned to expand and upgrade the existing 110Mt Resource. Lodestone is a highly valuable iron ore deposit, with a niche product well suited to the next generation of electric arc furnace steel mills. There is strong global demand for this high-purity iron ore feedstock, meaning Killi can expect to attract a significant price premium for its product. Lodestone’s strong outlook is also underpinned by its location just 200km from the Port of Geraldton and its access to adjacent, under-utilised power and rail infrastructure.
Lux Copper (ASX: LUX, market cap: $30 million at listing)
Presenter: James Warren, Chief Executive Officer
Lux Copper is a new US-focused copper and strategic metals explorer which is scheduled to list on the ASX on Friday 17 July, following a successful $15 million IPO that closed on 25 June. Lux is targeting new discoveries across two highly prospective projects in Alaska’s prolific Ambler Mining District, a rich polymetallic belt that hosts several world-class orebodies. The Company is aiming to start drilling in August at the Baird Project, which offers exciting, early-stage discovery opportunities. This would position the Company to deliver assay results from the Baird Project through the December Quarter.
Flynn Gold (ASX: FG1, market cap: $12.2 million)
Presenter: Neil Marston, Managing Director
Flynn Gold (ASX: FG1) is rapidly emerging as one of Tasmania’s most exciting exploration stories, with multi-pronged exploration programs underway across its extensive 850km 2 portfolio. Recent maiden drilling at the Henty Project has confirmed a strike-extensive, high-grade silver-lead-zinc system beneath historic mines at the Silver King Trend, across a 1.6km long mineralised corridor. At the same time, drilling is underway at the high-grade Firetower Gold-Tungsten Project, which is emerging as an increasingly valuable asset as drilling aims to extend known mineralisation at depth, providing strong potential to grow one of Australia’s highest-grade undeveloped gold-tungsten systems. Flynn also continues to progress the large-scale Golden Ridge Project, where it has established a significant Exploration Target of 449-520koz.
